RESPONSIBILITIES
The Courier is responsible for timely delivery of all local, same-day delivery needs of patients within reasonable driving distance of the facility. This position performs other driving tasks as business needs dictate, including pickups, or deliveries, trips to Post office, coordination of vehicle maintenance, etc. The individual assists the Warehouse Manager with other special projects and/or functions related to warehouse stocking, receiving, organizing, inventorying, trash removal and safety inspections. The Courier assists the Shipping/Receiving Department as needed and completes special projects as assigned by their manager, including but not limited to file maintenance and/or document destruction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Utilizes company vehicle to perform regular, local deliveries of medications direct to patients and/or MD offices for same-day emergencies or insurance mandates.
2.Performs other local driving responsibilities as business needs dictate.
3.Assists Warehouse and Purchasing Managers with other special projects or daily responsibilities as coordinated through Sr. Manager of Quality and Process Improvement.
4.Provides functional support to shipping dept and other areas as needed (when not performing courier role).
5.Responsible for coordinating routine vehicle maintenance as scheduled as well as ensuring an acceptable level of general cleanliness of both interior and exterior of company vehicle.
6.Special Projects as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-0-1 years relevant experience
-Valid driver's license and clean driving record
-General PC knowledge preferred.
-Written and Verbal communication skills required.
-Ability to navigate directions and read a road map required.
-General familiarity with automobile maintenance preferred.
-Ability to work in a dynamic environment and maintain a professional manner
-Ability to prioritize time and multi-task
-Ability to work responsibly with a minimal amount of supervision
-Ability to work a flexible schedule as dictated by business needs, with the possibility of short-notice overtime.
