Project Manager - Business Systems


Responsible for the Management, coordination, and establishment priorities for complete life-cycle of projects related to procure to pay systems including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation. Leads business processes decomposition and blueprinting. The focus of these processes is on easy cost efficient order placement, order follow through, expediting, order receiving and order payment.

• Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete life-cycle of projects related to procure to pay systems including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
• Designs project plans, which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
• Determines project needs and acquires resources required for the success of the project. Coordinates the development of new systems and/or applications projects, the modification of existing systems or applications, or changes in current methods or techniques.
• Provides direction and technical guidance to project team members. Acts as liaison between implementation personnel, management, and vendors by conducting/participating in meetings to review project details and obtain approval and signoffs.
• Lead development, coordination and implementation of operational activities of procurement, including requisitions, order management, receiving and financial settlement.
• Lead efficient & effective Purchasing (P-card/TE card) processes and procedures with focus on customer service.
• Actively participate in long-range strategy and business case development of application upgrades, enhancements and procurement. Identify solutions and take necessary steps to correct emerging and current issues that negatively impact procures to pay systems.
• Clearly define and support development of training materials and curriculum to ensure proper end user support and education. Execute training of internal customers.

• BA Preferred 5-7yrs
• Accomplished with PMI’s project management body of knowledge (PMBOK).
• Completion of an industry recognized Project Management Training Curriculum.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience ERP project management.
• Training experience preferred.
• Strong project management and change management skills preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of all Indirect Purchasing principles and practices.
• Strong knowledge of Purchasing ERP application, SRM SAP preferred.
• Ability to exercise discretion with highly confidential information.
• Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills. Interacts positively with teammates and business partners; makes effective presentations; Handles conflict gracefully.
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster collaboration within team, with business partners and with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work cross-functionally including internal customers, IT, AP, Accounting , and external partners Results orientated with demonstrated ability to independently achieve goals.
• Ability to conceptualize new ideas and solutions, seek existing solutions or best practices and translate them into effective programs.
• Ability to translate business information/analytical requirements to IT resources
• Broad business knowledge and organizational awareness.
